Ingredients
- 60g semi or bitter chocolate
- 2/3 cup unsalted butter
- 45g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 large eggs
- 225g granulated sugar
- 110g all purpose flour
- 15g corn starch
- Pinch salt
- 75ml MILK STOUT
- 125ml nuts
- 125ml semi sweet choc chips

- Double boiler
Method
- Preheat oven to 160 degrees c
- Grease pan
- Over medium heat in a double boiler (simmering only) carefully melt chocolate and butter, then stir in cocoa powder
- Remove from heat and allow chocolate mixture to cool slightly
- In a separate bowl, using an electric mixer, beat eggs and sugar until thick and fluffy
- Fold in choc mixture
- In another large mixing bowl sift together flour, corn flour and salt
- Add chocolate mixture to flour, mixing well until incorporated
- Add beer and nuts and gently stir
- Transfer to prepared pan and bake for 20 – 25 minutes
- Check after 15 or 20 minutes with a skewer to ensure centre is still moist
